Have you been in a car accident? ICBC has you covered, and so do we!

Have you been in a car accident? ICBC covers treatment from Chiropractors, Acupuncture therapists, and Registered Massage Therapists.

You may use multiple therapies at one time; which is often recommended.

Here’s how it all works.

After your motor vehicle accident, report your claim. The first 12 weeks of treatment is covered. Schedule an appointment, and provide us with the claim number, and date of accident and you’re ready to go.

Has it been longer than 12 weeks? Having Delay’s in recovery? Have you seen another provider already? No problem, just let us know once again what the date of the accident was, and what type of providers you’ve been seeing, and we can ask for approval to take over your care at our office. We will ask your ICBC adjuster for approval to perform an exam, and once approved, we can schedule your appointment and get started!

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a doctors note or referral to book my appointment?

No, you only need approval from your ICBC adjuster to begin care. The first 12 weeks are pre-approved, after that, you’ll require further approval.

Do I have to pay anything out of pocket?

24 Chiropractic sessions, and 12 Acupuncture sessions are fully covered.

12 Massage therapy visits are partially covered, meaning you will owe the balance. ICBC covers $94.50 per massage session, so depending on if you get a 45 minute, 60 minute, or any longer appointment, the balance will be your responsibility to cover. Please refer to our patient resources for our fee schedule.

What happens if i'm not recovered in the first 12 weeks?

If by the 12 weeks you’re not fully recovered (to pre-accident condition), that’s okay. We may get you to fill out some forms, and then we can submit an extension request form to your ICBC adjuster. Then we need to wait and see if they accept, or reject our request. We will likely have to pause your care while we wait for approval, but usually for no more than a week before we have an answer.
